On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, two new publications from the research program Independence, decolonization, violence and war in Indonesia, 1945-1950 will be presented at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam.
- Tales of Violence. Dutch Management of Information in the Indonesian War of Independence, 1945-1949 - Remco Raben, Peter Romijn (Amsterdam University Press)
- Stumbling in the Dark. The Battle for Intelligence in the Indonesian War of Independence, 1945-1949 - Rémy Limpach (Amsterdam University Press)
Additionally, we will pay attention to the publication of Azarja Harmanny, Brute Force. Artillery and Air Force in the Indonesian War of Independence, 1945-1949 (Amsterdam University Press). Last April, Harmanny received his doctorate from Utrecht University on this research, which is part of the research program.
